Gateway to the Amazon: Known as “The Touristic Pearl of Beni”, Rurrenabaque sits at the foothills of the Andes where the rainforest meets the plains.
Madidi National Park: One of the most biodiverse places on Earth, home to jaguars, macaws, monkeys, and countless plant species.
Pampas of the Yacuma River: Just 3 hours from town, the Pampas offer open wetlands where spotting wildlife is almost guaranteed—pink river dolphins, caimans, capybaras, and hundreds of bird species.
Adventure activities: Jungle treks, canoe rides, night safaris, and even glamping experiences in the Pampas.
Cultural connection: Meet local communities and learn about traditional Amazonian lifestyles.
FIRST DAY:
Departure at 10:00 a.m. to Santa Rosa del Yacuma in an air-conditioned vehicle. Approximate travel time: three hours.
Lunch at a restaurant (included).
Then, we will continue for another half hour by vehicle until we reach the port. Entrance to the Pampean park costs 50 Bs. for nationals and 200 Bs. for foreigners.
We will board a boat along the Yacuma River for another 3 hours, where we will observe the local flora and fauna (a wide variety of birds, caimans, crocodiles, and monkeys, as well as swim with pink dolphins). We will take a photo safari until we reach the viewpoint, where we have all the comforts for sleeping and eating. We have double, double, and family cabins, all with private bathrooms, beds, and mosquito nets. We have dinner at 8:00 PM (all our meals are a small buffet).
DAY TWO:
We have breakfast at 8:00 AM and go boating for half an hour. Afterward, we walk to the swamp, where the anaconda habitat is located, and wading is required. Guests can choose to wear their own shoes or rubber boots, which are provided at the lodge. On this tour, we walk for 3 to 4 hours (we see anacondas and various types of birds). We return for lunch.
In the afternoon, we go boating again, upriver to observe more animals, fish for piranhas, swim with dolphins, and watch the sunset. We return to the lodge for dinner.
After dinner, we take a night excursion to observe the wildlife (guests must bring a flashlight).
DAY THREE:
We wake up at 5:00 AM and go boating for a short time, then walk through the pampas and watch the sunrise. At that time, everything is so beautiful and special: the animals you can observe, the sounds you hear, and the colors of the sunrise. We return for breakfast.
After breakfast, we sail in search of dolphins to swim with them one last time (animal observation en route). We then return to the lodge for lunch and to organize our backpacks.
We then return first by boat and then by car to Rurrenabaque. The estimated arrival time is 4 p.m.
Long shirts and pants
A 2-liter bottle of water for the first day (mineral water is provided on the second and third days)
